Josh Gondelman is a comedian and writer you should know.

Josh is often described as the nicest guy in comedy. On his Twitter account, he frequently offers pep talks to anyone who tweets at him needing a little pick-me-up. His kind words and encouraging responses are uplifting to read even as a passive observer.

Josh was also the co-creator of the popular Twitter account Modern Seinfeld — which imagined character storylines if the show was still on today.

His top-notch joke writing led him to a writing job on John Oliver’s HBO show Last Week Tonight. Five years, two Peabody awards, three Emmys, and two WGA awards later, Josh moved on and is currently a supervising producer/writer on Showtime’s Desus and Mero.

You may have seen Josh perform standup on Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, or The Late Late Show with James Corden. His sweet personality belies his often sharp, clever jokes. He also has 3 full-length comedy albums, all available for streaming on Spotify.

Josh is also an accomplished humor essayist. He’s written funny articles for McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, the New Yorker, Elle, and the New York Times among others.

You should probably go get his newest book which just came out this week called Nice Try: Stories of Best Intentions and Mixed Results. “Whether he’s adopting a dog from a suspicious stranger, mitigating a disastrous road trip, or trying MDMA for the first (and only) time, Josh only wants the best for everyone—even as his attempts to do the right thing occasionally implode.“

We can’t wait to read it!
