Joe Pera is a comedian, writer, and actor you should know.

Joe has performed standup on Seth Meyers and Conan. His comedy is grounded in highly specific character work. He uses his socially-awkward, sincere, grandfatherly persona to create a dry absurdism in talking about everyday topics like breakfast foods or fall leaves.

After his successful comedy special Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep, Adult Swim ordered the quietly hilarious television show Joe Pera Talks with You.

The series follows Joe as a fictionalized version of himself, living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and working as a middle school choir teacher. Through seemingly mundane subjects, the episodes take delightful detours as we get to know Joe, his town, and its residents. You can stream all 8 episodes online for free here.

Fortunately for us, Adult Swim has picked up a second season of Joe Pera Talks with You and it is currently in development.
